The challenge of free busses
Since 2001, the busses in the city of Châteauroux are free. This is pretty unusal, as the busses in Livorno and Münster aren`t free. This innovation is based on three main aspects, such as social, economic and ecologic aspects.
1. Social:
- everybody can use the bus to get to their destination no matter how high their income is
- a lot less stress is caused to the bus drivers, because they don`t need to control if everybody has paid his\her ticket
2. Economic:
- because more people are able to reach the town, that means more people can buy
3. Ecologic:
- a lot less pollution for the environment, because if everyone usses the bus they don`t have to use teir cars
- by doing that the emissions of CO2 is reduced
