On Monday we visited the town hall of Chateauroux. M. Hugon, responsible for foreign countries and sports at the town hall told us that the current mayor decided that the buses should be free. Later in the greenhouses, the responsible M. Tellier told us that there are many reasons for that:
1. the ecological aspect
2. the social aspect
3. the economical aspect
The first aspect is that if many people use one bus for travelling there is much less emission of air pollution than if they all use a car.
The social aspect is that we can meet friends and people who don’t have much money can travel easily. This also increases the economy because they can spend the money they saved by travelling on the bus for free for other things.
We think that this is a really good idea and we should try to have a system like that to because in Germany and Italy many people don’t use buses because it’s too expensive.
