Voyage à Livorno, day 2 : Monday 15 March
Yesterday morning, we’ve visited the town hall, and we’ve listen to the story of Livorno’s town hall. It was very interesting. We’ve learn that the town hall is an old castle, and that Livorno was a multi ethnic community where all exiled people (from France, Nederland and all part of Europe…) can come to live to develop the town.
Yesterday afternoon, we’ve visited Livorno’s fossi by boat and we had can past under the republic place !!! We’ve learn the story of the building of the town, some buildings can be dated from the battle against Austria and each year, people of all the country reconstitute this battle. During the free time, we’ve seen seagulls attacked pigeons, and eaten them, and we’ve all goes to do shopping and some of them walk through the town to found some crepes…. And ice cream !!!
